Welcome to my new website. I’ve been wanting to start a blog for years now and though its form has gone through several different iterations, the main theme has always been the same ― getting to the truth of matter ― the matter being how to best navigate the stormy seas of life when you don’t know how to swim. You only have pieces of the map… and maybe you have no idea how to even sail a ship or how to find the right crew. The whole thing is terrifying because there are pirates, sea creatures, and who knows what shadowy things lie Beneath the Surface.
Ok, so maybe I’ve been sitting on the shore for some time, staring at the boats in the distance and dreaming about the adventures to be had. I definitely feel more at ease spending time in my inner world, as opposed to the physical realm as I like to call it. To be honest, as far as art in particular goes, I sometimes struggle getting my ideas out of my head (damn that Blank Canvas) and into tangible reality. Then there’s the anxiety of sharing it with the world! There are a bunch of different reasons and aspects to this that I won’t get into here, but it’s something I know I need to work on.
I never did learn to swim, but I’m here now regardless and doing my best to navigate these seas. This website, I suppose, mirrors a captain’s log – a chronicle of my expedition through art and some rambling metaphors.
