There were lots of beautiful shots in The Queen's Gambit. Something about this scene of Beth sitting in class grabbed my attention, so I decided to try painting it. There was a moodiness in the lighting that I liked but didn't quite capture. I'm still learning and was nervous to go too dark and risk ruining it, so mine's a bit lighter in tone but I'm happy with how it turned out overall.
